The dark shading veins are strange, and the gold on top appears to be exceeding the dark shading there as well.

Are you referring to why I did light then dark then light again on the edges? It is because Blizzard makes their icons like that, probably due to the BG being black, making a realistic shading would blend in the edges of the kidney.

Well, the thing is, They go dark to a bright edge, this is bright, then a sudden black vein and then going back to bright.
