more black around the blue "aura" make it a bit dim, and half-transparent ice
also encrust the sword in ice, or add ice-blue details to it..

You said its an IceSword. But it doesn't look like that.
I have made an simple edit how the glow can give the feeling about ice and changed the sword colors a bit.

I can do stuff as this on my own, I was just about helping you.

I have to say though, this one turned out to be rather epic. More shading is only required on the handle, as far as I'm concerned and only that is minimal.

Nah.. i think it needs shading on the whole sword... also.. i think it doesnt looks enough icy not cuz the BG is bad.. but cuz there is like. nothing Icy on the sword. (make something blue on it) also.. maybe move the sword from the Bottom left a bit more to the Top Right.. cuz the handle looks a bit stupid cuz of the borders..

The blade and the hand guard are quite different colour and style making them look disjointed. As already suggested, some sort of transparency will be nice

2/5 - shading on the handle area makes it pertrude in the wrong direction (from what seems to be the intended direction - a U shape?). And the icon background is... it just doesn't fit well (you also didn't do the shaded border enough). I also agree that the handle needs more shading.

It looks like some kind of paper sword, Metal/Ice should shine. The glow makes little sense to me...It isn't very warcraft-ish, too.
I like the drawing, though.
