Sin'dorei300: Not bad, but make it look more sharply.
The shard's edges seem rather blunt than sharp.
Also, add some reflections, some color, is kinda boring in the current state.

I think its too dark in the middle, keep some dark spots but make them a little brighter. And maybe add some shines in places indicating its sharp or glass.

Yeah, glass is extremely tricky to do. It was really a window which created me the most problems with AT-TE, my only model I made a skin for.
