I think that the line is actually ruining the whole icon... it looks kinda, unrelated or unfitting. I don't really understand why it should be there, it would look much better without it. But oh well... it could be useful. 3/5

Maybe that line represents when the sphere was in too halves, so explosive powder could be poured in before welding the too halves together.

Anyways, the shading's quite nice. I like it, at least.
