Right now it looks like a grey sphere in some orange mist. I think the orb should be a little more red.

You wanted color flux D: Was considering the ash seeing as how it's fire to make the gray. But I can add a red tint to it. Will update it in a moment. It has a design on it but you can't really see it. I can try and amplify it.

Blurry, Needs more effects and decoration and also the orange background doesn't go with it at all. Secondly i would just make a think or light mist of orange coming off the ball.

Bubble filter over cheap orange background. Dont use filters plz. Seriously look at my icons, do something like that no crappy stuff.

Fixed it up a bit. Looks much better in my eyes. Background is still kinda bleh but meh.

The orbs looks way better than the first version, improve the background more and it looks really nice.

Any idea's for the background? Was trying to make it nice but I can't find a good way to do it without it looking corny.

Perhaps you could try a different colour than red for the background. Or you could change the background so that it looks like the sun is behind the orb and there are some eruptions.

I think you should try to make the background look like a solar flare.

Needs some fire coming from inside the orb, and not around the orb...
