Hawkwing: The background is good enough now, thought maybe your could darken it and just make it light around the edges of the sword (like a glow). Also, you didn't really add shading, you sort of just defined the shapes more, which makes it look much worse.

Well, I'm afraid thet there isn't much what I can do, to make it better, thou I'll try to get more metal look =)
