BTNDagger (Icon)

You can always try to find a better angle for your icon, especially weapons. Zoom them in or out to test and rotating.

In this perspective we don't need to show the handle too much if it's not the focused object and/or not uniquely designed.

In this way it'll have less empty space and it looks better. (for me at least)

I like the second variation better because it is cooler and closer to metal, orange one looks cartoony in my opinion.
However this part will need some brightness because it's very dark in icon size.

Just include both the variation together if you can't decide, it wouldn't hurt.
 
Looks great, I think I'm going to try to give the undercurve of the blade a red tint to be thematically consistent with an item I have in mind.
