Here is an idea :
Make a line around it and then use some smuge brushes to spred it around ;]

You shuld smudge right side of glow. I dont know why it is aproover :S Glow is too strong and it make it looks crapy. smudge glow from right I sugest. It will improove icon a lot.

It looks quite nice, but I think the blade bends too muc. Should be been more straight in the beginning of the blade. The background "glow" blends too much in with the blade imo, and I think you should have added that protector thing between handle and blade, that protects your hand, from sliding up on the blade.

lol usually daggers are curved it is like that because when they go in the flesh and you pull them out it makes big wounds same as for arrows ;] Daggers are designed for assassination

look at the 3 and 4 they are curved maybe little but still they are curved...
and 1,2 are curved little in the sides ;] this make wounds too ;]
