By corn needing shading and highlights, are you talking about the actual corn or the leaves?

It could also be useful in any map that the player has the ability to grow corn.

It looks better, but you need little shading on every single corn and more shading at the right side of the corncob.

As chilla killa said, it indeed looks better - but it's not so see-able at the moment.

They're called kernels people, and don't outline things with black, only with shading, unless it is impossible and you have to.

The green on the leafs is just too... sharp-green. Maybe something "softer" and more shadings. The rest is alright.
