Sin'dorei300: The icing on the top could look better (both the color and the execution). The banana slices could be bigger, to see them better. Icing on the bottom, nope.
In a word, you have to do it more appetizing.

Sin'dorei300: I don't see much improvement, the icing still looks meh(color & shape), the banana slices look like they're from another icon. Also, the glow ruins it (in its actual state). Tutorialz.

We can't approve of this icon unless we taste it and know that it is actually a banana cake. There are not so many miscellaneous icons so i dont see why not a cake icon. Besides cake can replace chicken icon as well. I would say 3/5 since it can be useful

Angle is fine but the background is plain. If u have any ideas for background, i say put it on.

Tips: Add a lil' bit more shading and more defined top. It's a bit blurred now.

It's a bit blurry like Heinvers said, you should get rid of the glacing (is that the word?) on the bottom of the cake as well. No one have that on the bottom of a cake and it will look more realistic that way.
You could also add a gradient on the lit side of the cake's inside (as in bright to dark) because right now the values are just about the same where the light is brightest as the farther end of that side. And light dissipates so it does not make sense as it is now.

what Hemske and Heinvers said, also, on the top of those cakes, below those three nut looking things or sliced bananas is too much gray-ish, it may need some banana or milky color thing like white yellow, just an opinion

Anyway, back to the icon. It's pretty decent and useful but I think it could have some more highlight at some parts like on the filling and the tops.
