Hummm.....

It is too plain. All I can really suggest is that you add some textural detail to the... uh, what I assume to be the glow. In other words, rather than plain green maybe add some shading to distinguish some shape. It looks kind of 2d without it.

Using this as an icon for a "Ruse" ability on a green colored character, thanks. Granted, my usage is somewhat abstract, but I think it will work well nonetheless.
