At first glance it's kinda hard to make out what this icon represents.
It'd be ideal for an icon to be recognizable at first glance.
A better definition would help us to understand what's going on in this icon.
I strongly recommend you to add shading(highlights and shadows, using lighter or darker tones of your base colors), this will visibly improve your icon.
Also, using a richer(and suitable) color scheme will reduce the monotony.
I would advise you to read some tutorials and practice a lot.
