I think the update makes it worse. Glow is not everything. Sometimes, a simplier appearance is much better useable.

Left hand doesn't really look like it's hand shaking. To me, now it looks like the right hand is holding the left hand. Or maybe, the right hand is being showed too much. I believe that the position of hands should be like this:

Hmm... that would actually require from you to change the whole concept... I don't know. I just can't imagine it as a handshake, it looks like a hand grab to me.

You wouldn't really notice in-game. Besides you'd have other things to think about.
