maybe you should make the arms a bit darker. They are not visible right now, making the sword an invitation for misinterpretations.

but thats why there is a hole in the swords handle where the arm is holding it

your right. it really does. qua angles ans coloured parts are different at the picture and icons at same spots.. hmmmm

its just that character with a color overlay. all outlines are the same. sword thickens at same spot. calf sticks out in same place. Cape ruffles in same spots.

i cant post a complete copy and paste of the character
so i drew it
and then i did an overlay
using my own drawing for this one
so i make sure it doesnt get rejected because of the cnp rule

I suggest starting too draw freehand instead of tracing stuff because that would help you alot.

its not about if it looks better or worse... but about some legalities maybe. CnP usually looks better. but freehand is there so you dont take credit for others work.

I suppose this is a really good introduction to making icons and getting the hand and technique ready for freehand, though they really shouldn't be released as they are pretty much just practice as far as I'm concerned.
