Bring Back Custom Campaigns cup
Hi all! I'm happy to sponsor 200 EUR for another Warcraft 3 professional 1v1 cup. It will take place towards the end of July.
The purpose of this tournament is to increase awareness about one of the key still missing features in Reforged — custom campaigns. Hundreds of modders have spent thousands of hours pouring their effort, creativity and soul into making custom campaigns. Two and a half years have passed since Reforged's release, and all their wonderful work remains effectively inaccessible. We want to raise awareness within the community and to make ourselves heard to the game developers: this feature is sorely missed by many modders and players, and we eagerly await the return of Custom Campaigns!
The mappool of the cup will consist of the maps from last 3 Hive Cup 1v1 Melee mapping contests.
The distinguishing feature of the tournament is that some units will have different "skins" to bring more visual variability to the gameplay (e.g. Autumn maps will feature "reddish" units, while Winter maps will have ice-themed skins etc). More details will be announced soon, so stay tuned!
