I am not sure what you mean..
1. Is your question how to put an item into a shop?
Answer: Go to the unit and there is a line which says: Sold items i think...
2. Is your question how to make that when a unit buys the book the owner gets that upgrade?
Answer: Use a trigger like:
Event: Unit aquires item
Condition: Item = book
Action: Make the upgrade for owner of triggering unit (i don't know the actual trigger)

In one of your other posts I saw that you know the trigger which makes the upgrade for a player so I didn't look it up^^
