Bold and Italic Messages/Transmissions

We can color our text, we can type in interesting words. But can we use italics, bold, underline etc for game messages and cinematic transmissions.

For instance I would like to do this:

Father Puriel: (Frowns slightly) Where have you been my son?
Odwalla: (Smiling) Walking the earth, in it and out it.

You can't do bold, italic etc. Just normal text.
