I'm not exactly requesting anything. I just wanted to suggest maybe adding some Black Dragonflight models on this site. I think it would be nice to add some Dragons on here. I have an example here from WoWwiki. If no one will it's fine, I'm in no rush or anything, just a suggestion.

I think he's jsut using the picture as an example.

Yea they're just examples. Warcraft III already has it's own Dragonflight models but no Black Dragonflight which is a unique faction of the Dragonflight in the warcraft lore. I was just seeing if anyone would be interested in trying to make some.

I did a black dragonspawn for a request.

http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/f341/need-skin-120799/

here is it.

That is a nice model!!! Do you happen to have anymore or any like this one but black dragonspawn??? All credit to you.

This one is a model on this site except it's blue. You think you can maybe edit same one but make it black with same armor or something like in the pictures above on the far right?

here it is.
it uses 2 custom textures, all in the .zip.
to use it, follow the path Texures\.
good bye.

The model looks absolutely great thank you very much!!!
Is there any way you can add team color to the armor or shoulder pads or something? The armor looks greenish. Can you possibly make the colors same as this with teamcolor and light tan color on that armor.
dragonspawn.JPG

The spiked dragon looks greenish a little and his armor is greenish as well. I was hoping he could match colors like this one above as well as the last dragon model you edited.

i can change the color of the armour, but i cant change the team color place, its modeller's job. are you tested it on WE? do it.

I've used in WE and turned out to look a little bit greenish tint to the whole unit and no team color. i'll check it now. I wanted it too have same color as your other model such as in this pic on bottom with armor color, and skin color i think is slightly darker, can't really tell with all the armor.

hi, i fixed it.
if you want,
can you attach a screenshot of this? this key doesnt work on my keyboard''' :ugly:

the path for the new skin (armor.blp) is like the others: Textures\armor.blp

good bye.
if somebody need other skin/icon, request it here:

http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/f341/skin-icons-shop-not-pay-d-123063/

Good job!
But sorry to bug you again, but is it possible where you made the red it could be team color or is that for model editors? If not its fine, but I was wondering if where the spikes are and the outside edges of the red armor you can make it same color as other dragon, Like spikes and stuff same like the original blue dragon? Kind of yellowish/tan a little.

I (dodgely) added the team colour.... and yes you do need to know a bit about modeling to do it but luckily this model was made in a way where it was easy to apply it.

You know, the file size of the dragon model is quite huge for a warcraft 3 model tho, and the amount of textures used is quite intense aswell.... I don't see this model ever being used in a b.net map

Thank you Discipline and Xezko very much! What are the paths though? And whats with the TGA file, does that go into import manager as well? I just put in the blp. and mdx. files added the TGA file and it looks the same but with team color but it's same armor color and skin color as before. You're picture looks better and different than what mine looks like. Here it is with same green color as yours and mine doesn't have the pauldrons like yours has. I also am going to mention that the smaller dragon in this picture has file paths same as the other.....
dragonspawnextras.blp
dragonspawn.blp.

dragonspawnextras.TGA <----(from your edited version)

I can't make your version with same name because it just keeps saying warcraft3imported\ even when i put textures\.

Notice the shading of colors both units differ. Mine doesn't look as cool as yours. :(
Do you happen to know what might be the problem? Maybe needs different name other than dragonspawn? Maybe dragonspawn1 or something, I'm really not sure whats happening.

the original dragonspawn skins and the imported ones are probably clashing... with the imported skins just set them to their file names for the path and it should be ok... if not i'll have to look at it when i get home from work. The .tga file is nothing, probably something i converted to edit the skin but forgot to delete lol

Yea, it still looks the same...
I think they're still clashing. I think you have to like change the textures name maybe so they don't have same path or something, I really don't know.

In my import manager there is....

textures\dragonspawn.blp
dragonspawn.blp (for armored dragon)
textures\dragonspawnextras.blp
dragonspawnextras.blp (for armored dragon)
textures\armor.blp (for armored dragon)

By armored dragon I refer to the one you edited so all 3 of these apply to it yet it still looks just like before. Funny one thing I also noticed is the model still works with either warcraft3imported\wardragon.mdx or just wardragon.mdx as well as portrait.

Awwww, it still looks the same. I wonder what could be wrong. It works but it doesn't look like your badass one.

I put paths like this....

Textures\WarDragon\Dragonspawn.blp
Textures\WarDragon\Dragonspawnextras.blp
Textures\WarDragon\armor.blp

Do I need to change .mdx paths to?

nope. You know I've tried everything but I can't get the pauldrons to show up in game... and to be honest I don't think they are supposed to (they clash with the custom shoulders). I just don't understand why they show up in the model editor and not the actual game tho, but I think it's better without it

hmmm... I also noticed the portrait pic the original dragons armor color is there from original Blue dragonspawn but unit armor is different. This model is bugged or something, I'm not too sure of anything right now at this point. My WC3 Model Editor says when I open .mdx file for Dragonteam file does not exist neither portrait or model.

I think im just going to drop my map and not even try all this, it's bullshit and it's stressful and I never know what to do. Thanks anyways.

yeah well giving up is never a good option, the only way you learn anything is by pushing on.... if it were so easy to do everything then there wouldn't be any point in doing it at all.

However in this case yeah I agree, this model needs to be scrapped... first off it's portrait is a completely different model to the in game unit, and secondly it's size is ridiculous.... nearly 1 mb for 1 model? You are aware that battle net compatible maps can't be any larger then 4 mb right? kinda makes this model useless

oh. and the reason it's probably not working in your model editor is that the files have to be in the exact right place or it won't load.

I was wondering how do you add teamglow color around this model? I made my decision to make him a hero instead of unit.

Someone else who is experienced said the geosets might not be registered right in the model. This is referring to the problem with the model showing up different in game and different in model editor.
