Yep, its the classical build animation I'm having problems with.

I am working right now on a protoss support bay. I have the stand and death animations but I still need the birth one. Ok, the problem is that the birth animation is the circle rotating a lot, and then in the end, the explosion. I tried to make it last like, 3 seconds in which 0.5 is the explosion. HOWEVER, I am not able to make the rotation loop until the building is ready. Could anyone tell me how to do this? Some screenies would also be awsome... And yes, I know I sound nooby but I'm a NOOB in modelling for now.

okay first what program are you using? Next you might want to tell us in detail how the birth animation looks, and maybe provide us with some screenies. I really have no idea what you mean

I use 3dsmax 5. And as for the animation, yep, its the protoss energy. Its just a plane which rotates and at the end of the animation (such as undead buildings), the energy disappears and an explosion of emmiters makes the unit appear. At undead units, there is the stupid skeletic stuff, and at the end it disappears making the building appear. But I have no idea how to make the energy last as much as needed. I mean, I want it to keep looping (the energy rotating) and make it disappear only when the building is almost complete. And I KNOW this is possible but I have no idea how to do it.
