About
There are 1-8 Players. The trains ride on tracks. and you shoot other trains to win.

Driving: You can tell your train to switch tracks on the left or right of you if there in front of your train at an angle.
Shooting/Mines: You can shoot Missiles, And drop land mines (Land Mines take 5 seconds to activate)
Ramming a Train:If slam into another train you will both take some damage and reverse direction.

I like the concepts, also, I saw that you need tracks, I'm sure I saw some here on the hive somewhere, I'll look for em.

This project looks very interesting. I'd offer to help but I'm only any good in GUI, I'm still learning JASS.

Well thats good news for me. I don't know any jass. I msg once a finsh a few more things.
There is still alot of work to do. the core is done but. still the game play is sorta boring. cool game but... I hope my plans for this will spice it up enough.

Most take 5-10 min to figure out how to control train.. and thats bad. but then again its not that hard. turn left or turn right lol.

Anyway ill msg you latter if i get stuck or could use some more help. :)

I Tried it,
It was really fun, xD
but it drags on too much, reduce health to 100 or make fireballs/collisions stronger.
Its confusing at first with no Directions but you get the hang of it, also, you should make it so after one game is done, the game restarts!
That way they can continue playing more and more. a Bigger arena wouldn't hurt either. =]

My list of ideas:
-Make damage a lot easier to come by and lower HP, but...
-Lives! If you die, you revive. Limited lives.
-You should be able to get points by killing your enemies. These points are then spent on upgrades, extra lives, ect.
-Missile menu: Instead of having one kind of missile, you could have several, such as:
-regular missile
-a missile that follows the track ahead of you
-triple missiles that fire out in three directions ahead of you (like in arcade shooters)
-slow moving mega missile that needs planning and skill
-Mine Menu: I bet you saw this one coming
-regular mine
-multi mine that can explode multiple times
-reverse mine that makes the enemy change direction and go backwards on impact
-EMP mine that stops the enemy using weapons and/or steering
-additional missiles or mines should cost points to research/use. IE you spend 100 points on the multi mine, then you spend 10 points every time you use one
-track switches to block/unblock certain sections of track (needs a larger map first though)
-um...I could think of more, just give me time

I like alot of these idea. i still plan on doing what i have in my to do list.

Witch is

In Order Of What ill do and whats left:

Respounding to each thing you said.

Yes the rounds will be considerable shorter.(higher dmg or lower hp ect)
So instead of lives there will be rounds.
There will be a multibored that shows your kills overall the rounds. but you will receive a ect level for most kills that round.
-missiles, Different types...I really like the one that follows the tracks. But Havening many different types of missiles. maybe...But ill consider putting the three missiles or the Big missles as a power up from a rune.
Differnt Mines, Maybe ill make it so you can buy speail mines Or speail missles. But i not sure thats somthing i will do. up there will be a upgrade for lower cool down time for droping mines.
The Idea of swtichs on a track. I am also considering but i am sacred the game is already hard enofue to learn in 3 min, adding that may over do it for some and scare them away. i want to try to make it simple to play hard to master.

Anyway the many options of missles and mines, some could be put in the runes. that you would drive over and get it temp for 10-15 sec. Or idems maybe... I have all the spots filled at this point.(at least planed. higher ram dammage ect, more armor, faster cool down times)

Thnx for the input! i will 99% sure at some point put in the Missle that follows the track!

i'm glad you liked my input. the powerup/rune idea would be good. maybe you could make more like that...(cue another list)

POWERUP SUGGESTION LIST
-alternate missiles
-alternate mines
-slow/freeze enemy trains for a short period of time
-extra upgrade point
-blockade: basically my reverse mine idea without damage and possible multi-block
-random teleport

I know, I'm putting in too much on a map that isn't mine...

Current version is alot better (Not uploaded). but got a few more bugs to work out.

I basically putting everything else on hold because everyone cant seem to figure out how to play less then 5 min, or smart people less then 3. And i guess thats a problem...

So i am currently adding arrows in front of train so the learning curve will be reduced.

Well my suggestion to you would be to change those arrow icons. :D
No seriously, you should make "rounds" and when one round ends, the other begins in maybe 1 minute. Between the rounds you can use "points" or "score" to buy items and/or upgrades. Ideas for items that could be purchasable between the rounds could be something like this:
  • Stronger weapons that deals more damage and perhaps have a reduced cooldown and such.
  • Extra life, if you're sticking to that idea.
  • Armor upgrade, takes less damage from collisions and enemy weapons.
  • Extra health points to survive longer.

Hmm...I might stop replaying to everyones suggestions. because all of those things are planed or done, just not in current version because its got a few big bugs to fix.

anyway i like all of the suggestions.
Currently the host can pick 1 or 3 or 5 games.
and all most if not all of those will be added about upgrades.
One will give you better Ram Damage!

ill Show you guys what my maps will look like using paint soon.
This project is Just so much work lol. Its moving much slower then i would have liked. But at least it will get done right.

p.s. the arrow icons took me the longest to do... Fine! But i like them....

I think the current one is too small.
You can add landscape to a bigger one
you can also add fuel system, fuel stations, a way to make money(picking people and droping them at the required point), more missile types(costs money to upgrade), you can add wagons for carrying more people and more objects and materials, picks objects from factories to deliver them to points and earn money, and Cities, from there you can pick/drop persons and deliver objects and materials.

Nice ideas eh? =D

Oh shit, sorry 'cause i ask you but you're a noob!
To make the train stay on the track you mustn't use regions! you must use coordinates (X, Y)!
And make a 3rd person camera view and lock it to the train's position and angle.
Make acceleration and deceleration, use KEYBOARD arrow trigger events instead of that abillities!

LoL i am a noob. sure i guess.

FYI i am useing X and Y, not regions. I just haven't tweeked it. that's a easy fix. Anyway i know it needs alot more content. but i will not add any in till the Major functions run as they should.
if you draw a path on the ground using a certain tile set it will follow it will become the track. i just haven't took the time to place the tracks on right. so my system is fairly flexible and easy to make new maps with out having any idea whats in the code, and you can do it fast :).

In the current build you can do with the camera, But its not online :)

All though they do, the controls are still to hard for many players. taking them a few min to figure it out... I have and still am trying many different things. such as adding arrow in front of there train. When i am happy with the control system by user feed back or i just feel that's as good as i can do it. Ill make that tweak, and add much of the type of stuff you had in mind.

Some times it almost makes me mad that (not anyones falt.) that i ask for feed back about the control system and all i get is feed back advice about additional content that comes much latter in the process of making the game. At least once i get past this part ill have lots of ideas.

I am working on it as much as i can with the time i have.
