For anyone who has played competitive melee as an orc, it's known that burrows shoot faster the more units you station in them.
But what is the exact formula?

Blizzard said:

However, in object editor I could clearly see that the attack cooldown of burrows is 4 seconds.

Thus, I had enough data to create a theory. After a bit of messing around with numbers I came to this conclusion:

Current cooldown = base cooldown/(1+amount of peons)
In other words, every burrowed unit adds 100% attack speed compared to base.
The maximum bonus is 400% and making the burrow fit more units does not make shooting faster, because the limit has already been reached.

That's a nice theory, but is it true?
Seems that it is(map attached). I tried with various cargo amount values and they made no difference to attack speed per peon. Thus, capacity of the burrow doesn't matter.
I also placed 4 units with various amounts of regeneration(1-4) to test how much damage the burrow does.

Calculated values based on the theory:
1 peon = 2.0 cooldown. Base DPS = 1
2 peons = 1.333 cooldown. Base DPS = 1.5
3 peons = 1 cooldown. Base DPS = 2
4 peons = 0.8 cooldown. Base DPS = 2.5

I made the burrow deal 2 damage per attack and removed all armor type and value effects.

As assumed, with 1 peon the burrow did not dent a unit with 1 reg.
With 2 peons it did, but didn't harm the 2-reg unit. Etc.

Hopefully this is useful to someone.
