Barney (Black Mesa Security Gaurd)

Its Barney Calhoun from black mesa, theres also a soundset in the sounds section of hiveworkshop here it is:
its simple and needs only 1 texture file.
Instructions:
  • import the model.mdx
  • import the blp texture
  • change the texture's path to: barney/barney.blp
  • open the object editor select the unit u want to change the model of, look for Art - Model File and switch the model to the imported one
  • for the soundset search for Sound - Unit Sound Set and switch it to ur own imported soundset, import it through the Sound editor

well my bad if i sounded rude but anyway i dont know how to post it as ported i usually just post the model then prob some moderator transfers it to ported

The ported section is topwise in the model section proper.

What the model has as per the date of this review

Personal Comments

  • Texture pathing is very unacceptable (i.e: barney/barney.blp) people usually import custom models (especially ported ones) en masse, and expect the pathing files to be barney.blp..etc where you just remove the war3imported/ .. It is hugely tiresome and bothersome to memorize every single texture path for every model if everyone will name texture files in a different way. (The golden standard is to make it just the filename.blp or the filnemae.dds)
  • You must include the company/author of the model you ported/modified in the author(s) [In this case it's Valve] Simply click Edit -> Add Author -> Type in the company, this is now a must to have it approved.
Verdict: 5/5 - Approved - Pending changing texture pathing and adding "Valve" to author list for full approval.
