I am using Vista. I checked if I could run the game one the site "Can you run it?". I could run it whitout problems.
And, the settings on the result is for recomended. Not minimum requirements.

i was just saying it might not always work so...
Warhunter the only thing you can do now is probably get Windows XP, wait for update from vista that may fix it or just not play the game at all.

...Down grade from Vista to XP for a single game?

First off, did you pirate the game? I personally don't care, but make sure you have a good copy with proper data files. In some torrents (Particularly "dopeman's" torrents a lot of the files are either corrupt or missing).

Try a different torrent/cd/w/e you got this from. Make sure the CD isn't scratched and reinstall the game.

Also, try playing the game WITHOUT the patches first. If it works without the patch, begin patching the game one patch at a time to pin point which patch might cause this problem for you.

Update your video drivers, and your sound drivers. Alternatively, you might be running the game at a configuration not compatible with your system (Although unlikely, seeing as that you have a pretty powerful machine.) Try changing the settings in the .ini config file in the system root folder, or where ever the user configurations might be saved (You might have to research that yourself.)

Try and consider all of the above, if none of them work, report this problem to the games official forums so that people with more experience might be able to help you. Also check the forums for an "FAQ", you might find your problem under there if its common enough.

I'm never going to downgrade from Vista. I got Vista free. And I got no XP. And XP isn't in the stores anymoore.

Steel_Stallion@ It's no pirated copy or anything. It's the original game copy. I have tried to start it before I patched it. I can't install my driver updates coz the Catalyst install manager just crashes, as I said before..

The website "Can you run it?" is not always correct, in fact its usually off. (I cannot run Left4dead, despite what that thing says.)

Its most likely your graphics driver, and I'm not familiar with what a "Catalyst Install Manager" is. Try finding an alternative way of installing your drivers (Manually, for example.)

Otherwise, head for the official forums for help.
