Attachment Point help!

I am fixing up my Link model and wanted to make the sword and shield attachable.

I did it before on an earlier version of the model, but when I redid it, the sword and shield were floating in the air.

I'm positive I have created the nodes on the correct bones, but I can't seem to figure out the placement necessary for the sword and shield themselves! It's driving me crazy. Can anyone help me?
