I added spawned effects (burning Illidan Footsteps) to a model, but I can't get the effects to spawn at the unit's feet.

The timing is right (I copied the numbers from the unit's standard footsteps), but the X and Y are not.
Is there some way to attach spawned effects to footsteps?

Yes.

You need to import Illidan's footstep into map.

Then you need to use path something like .../orcs/loltauren/footstep.omg

This will ofcourse replace all units using the same footstep as your tauren... No other way as far as I know.

Or

You could try to spawn footstept to X/Y of unit blabla and use functions that check if unit is moving or not. But it wont hide the original footstep...

Stupid me. -.-

No, no. You can do it all with a model editor, and I've come pretty far (see screenshot). All I don't know is how to edit the coordinates of Illidan's footsteps.

The problem is that Illidan's footsteps aren't actually footsteps, but spawned effects. If they were, they would've gotten the right coordinates automatically.

Creating the effects with triggers would be way too much work. I really think fixing this problem with the model editor is easy, but I'm just missing something. Someone's gotta know.
