They use radians. For example, -90 would be about -1.57 (pi/2) and -180 would be about -3.14 (pi).

Why did we consider to use pi in the equation since the Object Editor clearly stated that we should use it in degrees ?

idk blizz is weird when it comes to degrees and radians. They probably just put the wrong thing, because radians work while degrees don't in that case. (even though they say to put degrees)
