HOLY FK I CANT BELIVE SOMEONE IS ACTUALY EXPORTING THESE!!!!

i was for a long time thinking about trying to export heroes 5 models cuz they are gorgeous but i was like naah cuz they are such weird obscure format. I cant belive someone else loves this dead game i still play with my friend to this day enough to rip models from it. this is amazing

Dang almost 3k polygons. This coulda been perfect for my end game flying version of Galahad. Maybe I can throw it into MDX squisher? Idk I don't have any experience optimizing models :(

Perhaps in the future I will port the "lod" version of the model, which is less detailed (paladin, swordsman and marksman have already received it)

Yes, please. I need it very much.

Edit: O, but it only dropped the file size of the paladin by 5%. What does lod mean? Level of development/detail? Then, yes go back a bit farther for this one maybe? A good 20% off the file size at least would be nice. Is there other things I could do to decrease the file size besides deleting bones and causing it to crash my game or just sending meshes across the entire map in game because I don't know what I'm doing? (I did something like that a decade ago messing with modeling and haven't really tried ever since)

lod - Level of detail(in HoMMV there are 2 versions of the model - lod version for global map, and another version for battle arena), but if you think that reducing the detail of the 3d model will reduce the size of the mdx file, then you are very mistaken, because 90% of the size of the mdx is animation, due to the peculiarities of the format of warcraft 3 models, they weigh very, very much (if I hadn't "optimized" them without loss quality and frame rate changes, the mdx weighed about 3-5 mb, as well as huge models from WOW.
