If you don't know lineage was only the best orpg created to this day. Models are sweet, literally every piece of equipment (besides chest armor) will show up on your char, like a sword, hat, cloak, etc. What makes it even more fulfilling is that u don't just find an item drop/buy them, u create most of your items with recipes u find, buy, or quest for. If anyone played the previous ver, this ver has all quests translated so u won't be stuck. While some do differ, I absolutely love the start. You will not WTFpwn right away, and upgrades aren't something that will show up in triple digits off the bat. There is a lot more realism. At first you won't be able to 1 shot a deer, and not even kill a spider. With this i will make a quick beginners guide if you decide to play without help.
ESC Menu: This is important, half of the game! Here you can upgrade stats (3 every level), upgrade spells (resets every game), get items from Virtual inventory [VI] with "take item". Also, you can move items from your backpack to the VI to make space. I suggest upgrading STR a bit first so you won't be dying from any deer, etc. Some int after you get heal spellbook.
Save/load, *IMPORTANT*: Do not do -save or -load. Instead do -svbg (saves bag as well) and -ldbg. it will save ITEMS IN INVEN AND BACKPACK, and when you save all items are moved to your VI, so if you mess up saving the first time, make sure to RETRIEVE ITEMS FROM VI!(caps are win).
Creating item: "Create magical" spell required, at the NPC below town, ATTACK TO TALK TO NPCs. To learn a spell, must drop ALL ITEMS IN INVEN, then click the spellbook. to create items, only the recipe and the materials can be in your inven, and then click create magical.
Last, classes: Basically, melee/ranger/mage. Of course, within these groups there is a lot of depth. Make sure mages do not give anything to agil. There are a few spells that say damage is increased depending on STR, that is not true. It is talking about base attack, which only depends on race. Everyone should get a good ammount int for heals/buffs (around 250-600), and should probably take 1k hp max even for tank. Agil is key for armor.
If you would like to play you can find me USWest (lordaeron), name is duke-zip, GL!
