No. There are still large communities (some even larger than Wc3 community) making maps and resources for much older games than Warcraft 3.

the w3 modding will end when w4 is released with better editor(hopefully better), so looks like w3 modding will be here for quite some time(Why would blizzard create warcraft 4 when they can milk the WOW, D3 etc..., also the story moved quite a bit from w3 on as WOW happens after w3 technically)

Nah. people sometimes avoid the galaxy editor as it is too much complex just to put an new actor or a new model, and dont make me start on modeling for this game.
