I suggest that you download Magos' War3 Model Editor found in the tools section. I'd go more in depth right now, but I'm on my phone. I'm sure that there are tutorials here about it.

I already have it, and attempted to add textures with it, but it crashed. All of the textures on the model are 1024 x 1024, so that might be causing it.

Nope. Even the texture is too big, it wont crash. How did you texture your model.
