I changed the model file of a unit, but I noticed it doesn't have a repair animation anymore compared to the original unit. Is there a way to fix that or add it without changing the model type back?

Rename one of its animations to "Stand Work" (e.g. with Magos Model Editor), that's the one the game plays on repair abilities.

Is there a tutorial on how to use this?

If the model doesn't have the Stand Work animation, you can create it yourself by duplicating one of the existing animations (e.g. Attack or Spell) with Matrix Eater and renaming it to Stand Work.
