Add damage via triggers?

Hi,

I'm trying to add damage/armor to a single unit (ex: a marine). Sort of like the Terran Infantry Weapon upgrade but i need it to affect only a single unit.

Wondering if it's possible with triggers or is there a way with the data editor?

create a buff that adds dmg/armor and add this with triggers.
