Add abilities via trigger

How can I add an abiilty to a hero that does not have that ability in his normal skill list?

• Military
  • Events
    • Unit - A unit enters (My region) <gen>
  • Conditions
  • Actions
    • Hero - Learn skill for (Entering unit): (My skill)

Oh, I thought that only worked on regular units ;/
