As I make this huge sand dragon/worm/thing I have many questions..
http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t218/Sephiroth_VII_photos/3-2.jpg

1. Should I center it in max at the center of the model, or the center of the head?
2. When such a large model as this turns I'm not sure if it would look right.

3. How do you extend the grid in max to a larger grid?

4. If its halfway underground during walk animation then what if it stops? It'll just pop right out of the ground all fake like?

5. How do I go about in finding a proper shadow for this thing?

Thx :]

1. center it at the center of the model.
2. indeed
3. go to snaps settings (right-click on that little magnet icon). From the pop up menu that appears go to the Home Grid panel and increase the number from Perspective View Grid Extent.
4. Yes, it will pop right out when it stands. I'd suggest you make alternate animations for when it's underground.
5. dunno
