[3D Max 5]How to divide a face?

Hi.

I'm making a model according to the picture.

I want to divide the identified face as it is illustrated on the picture, but I don't know how.

Also I tried to use "Slice" option, but after I did it there were two problems:

1. The Faces were sliced unevenly.

2. I couldn't manipulate them, move scale or anything.

yeah sure. The tools you need are called Snap tool and Cut.

Right click the Snap tools and turn on Mid-Point, then close the window and left click snap tool to turn it on.

Now go tour model and to the polygon you wish to slice and apply cut from one edge to another. The snap tool will give you precision.
