first i wanted to know, is there any way to launch error message preset in the interface. e.g: "must target a mechanical unit" "not enough mana" "cannot target wards". or the only way is to make error messages with game messages?


secondly, is it possible to change the proper name of the hero ingame? or the only way is to replace with an identical unit, with the desired proper name?

Only with game text. You can get it pretty close, but obviously it isn't the same.

another question: why is it advisable to use timers instead of loops?

Do you mean a loop and a TriggerSleepAction, or "Wait"?

The wait time can change ingame. E.g. an 3 sec wait can be 3.5 or 2.5...
But a 3 seconds timer will always run after 3 seconds.

Loops and timers do two entirely different things, what exactly are you talking about?
Are you comparing periodic timers to loops with waits?

well i was (comparing) yes, but i forgot the

• Time - Every x seconds of game time

. thats what i really had in mind. wanted to compare this to

• Time - timervar expires

Oh, well those two are equal in efficiency, they are both timers.

Yes, waits are extremely unreliable and buggy.

They kill the thread, meaning you cannot reference event responses like Triggering unit. In addition to that they are completely inaccurate.
