OK, this is weird. I think unit name changing triggers the slowness actually. I disabled the FX. That's new for me and quite dire.

As long as you destroy them properly they shouldn't create memory leaks. But yes, a Special Effect would be something that would hurt your framerate WHILE it's actively being rendered. Same as any model. It sounds like Blizzard did some funky things with the name changing stuff, I guess it's all related to the font/localization changes, probably poorly implemented.

Who knows. It might even be related to ability real fields since I use that too. It only seems to happen when I put the units against Mutalisk attacking type units (based on the Huntress's Moon Glaive). My test Marines that have splash damage (like each, a number of 12, hitting all Footmen at once) don't trigger this lag. It's weird.

Maybe the glaive projectile being spammed has something to do with it too.

Dunno, could be an issue with the Mutalisks / a trigger related to them.

They're not triggered. They're just Huntress copycats.

Hey. Is there a way to make the Channel ability have an AoE UI like Blizzard/Force of Nature/Rain of Fire etc.?
Uncle

Yeah, enable it's Targeting Image.

Thanks. By the way I found two replacements for the AoE stuff, Silence with none of its actions ticked which is great if you want a dummy ability that also adds a buff, and Rain of Chaos without any units being spawned :)

Any way I could make two Silence spells not trigger each other? Tried putting Blizzard on one's text order id and rain of fire on the other but nothing.

Nope, only Channel and Charge Gold and Lumber (and Spellbook I think?) can have their Order Id's changed. The fact that you can even edit those Active/Use fields is beyond me.

You can always use Channel and an extra Dummy spell that applies a buff if you need the buff.

Thanks. I wanted to not use dummy units or hidden ability order shenanigans. Silence worked perfectly for the first spell but for the second... I guess I'll try Rain of Chaos first. Hopefully it triggers with A Unit Starts the Effect of an Ability. I'm adding dummy buffs by adding a modified hidden Cloak of Flames ability.
