Yes, I'm playing with all characters right now. (barbarian, knight... done). With HD pack and other mod plugins too.
That is very sad to know the forum is dead. But we have other great modders doing things in MODDB, better gameplay and love...
I love BOD more than Dark Souls, if you don't mind.

For any Severance discussions and modding, I think the Arokh's Lair forums are the place to check out. Fyi, the logging restriction has been removed recently and one can again browse their BOD forums freely.

Its graphics engine was imho very unique. With this game, a DX7-class graphics card (like the Voodoo 2) felt like DX8-class hardware, because of the rendering of the real-time shadows + dynamic lighting + water reflection effects.

I remember having trouble of running this game back then (4:3 window XP PC 512 ram). I wish it has widescreen support or even a new sequel, if possible. The effect was so fascinating for me during first play, and way ahead of its own time along with Clive Barker's Undying, Diablo 2 and Serious Sam. What a golden gaming year, younger generation will never understand that.

Yeah, unfortunately Severance also has crash bugs, and imho questionable physics. Its graphics engine was imho not ahead of its time, it is just because the Quake 1->3 engines (which are OpenGL-only) were kinda ubiquitous back then, therefore indirectly misleading the gamers about what was really possible to do with their hardware.

Oh, speaking of Clive Barker's Undying:
(not perfect for this game, because of no public header files officially available)

For the record, Undying never had any detail textures to begin with, therefore the diffuse ones did not look great ingame imho. Before Darknovismc's efforts, there used to be a fan-made effort in that direction, but it did not go far (only one detail texture for the whole game iirc)
