Exactly. Thats why Reforged is just horrible in many ways for the community. If it was properly modest people still could devote themselves to work on models that take less time to create. There dosens of reason why RF's art is just terrible for the aside of other issues with it.

Geomerging in RF isnt too hard tons of newbs do it with reteras tools becuase they make it easy and semi automatic in many ways. I wouldnt really mind them but newbies and casual onlookers threat every of these models as 2nd coming of christ because of its "details" even tho its quite bad looking practice ingame. Other aspect is that community is split between sd and rf assets.
If we had a modest and proper remaster with war3hd like models woth it all adding up to be more if a new "ultra" graphics setting and not this hellish replacement that doesnt even look remotely alike; community would be united instead of being split and people could continue making models as they did that work and fit everyone's maps and game visuals. We cant have good things like this....

But art itself is least of the issues.....seeing how many people quit wc3 and communities around it due to frustration from desyncs....and other problems....

I can't tell I dislike the new HD models. They are great, imo. I don't like some models that have a totally new look over the remastering the old ones, but eh, there are a couple of those.
I can't tell geomerging is easy to do cause I didn't tried it with the Reforged models. Nor do I plan to make models for reforged, mostly because of how huge the models are in the polygons.
Exactly, the art is not the problem here. The crashing, lately the problems with the textures are what many people(including me) have, bugs, custom campaigns missing, animations in cinematics, is what I dislike how they left it...

I know, i dont mean that they are bad on side of the artist, plus its quite impressive for pretty much freshmen interns to do so well creating these. Thing is they are horrible in context, as for their purpose in an RTS game, optimization, and fact they are meant to be a remastering of original art, because at none of these aspect they seem to be even remotely considered to do that.

I also seen dosens of these posted on artstation by each artists which also shows how bad reference materials they got from Brian Sousa which partially lead to even further disparity with original art I.E. Shade looking like a protoss Archon instead of dark skeletal apparition, which is exacly because of how shitty reference was given to the artist, its impossible to even make it out on specific screenshots he had attached to the concept art they posted. Brian Sousa was so lousy and uncaring for wc3 that he didnt even bother to give them correct and wealthy reference not even including the portrait. Mixed with bad art and thoughtless art direction it lead to what we got...
It would be MUCH better if it was done in modest, thoughtful and faithful way... The way it is it is a disservice to the game especially because of really bad animations especially for portrait animations

I completely agree about most of those things. I am dissapointed as well but nothing came out of our frustration and negative comments so far, unfortunately. I'm really curious when is Blizzard going to listen to the players and fix the bugs they made with the Reforged..

Probably never, skeleton crew left is to small to do anything, even if few that are left care. Too many dumb decisions made it how it is. Some are impossible to fix unless they cook up some "MEGAPATCH" in secrecy...
That would replace all the art, restore all missing things and somehow make it right....It would atleast salvage a bit of the fanbase....They wholely wasted the chance for expanding it with this abomination tho....one and the only to make it as lively as in 2006-8.... and they blew it...
