I love David Lynch (Mulholland Drive is a masterpiece imo), but I haven't seen those two. I think that for Aurora's Miracle I wanted to go for something like Botticelli's "Birth of Venus", and if I remember correctly I couldn't find a proper clam model for it to work. The closest I could find were the crabs I ended up using, which in the end made the scene better and added a bit of charm. Now it reminds me a bit of the third Pirates of the Caribbean movie with all the stone crabs. :)

Oh man, I remember that one from way back in the day. I remember instantly recognizing the voice from the Lost Highway. :D That cinematic is still solid, the scenes inside the house during nighttime are so incredibly eerie.

Bloodline was a huge source of inspiration for me as well
