Pyf, first of all; a real academic doesn't need to site a juvenile encyclopedia like "Wikipedia". None of that is peer edited, and is jargon for the modern day sloth.
But, 2 spaces after a period are always mandatory in language. That's a fact, trust an Egyptian.
And Directive255, it may not be a big deal to someone who has poor work ethic, but someone who's time matters will see things the same as me.
It actually isn't even about "Periods", I find it funny that he couldn't identify it's about "Space". Learning Spacing in life as a whole seems to be far off the track for you kids.

Yeah, but this is his website and you are a visitor here.
No offence, but I only see you arguing over non-sense, minuscule stuff, things that only you find mild annoying and I don't see you doing ANYTHING productive, wholesome or otherwise good for the community.
@EggPooPoo
Because THW is an English only site and all meaningful public statements must be in English, it also implies that typographic conventions for the English language may be used as well. For more on the subject matter of style guides related to sentence spacing in language: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sentence_spacing_in_language_and_style_guides
The Wikipedia article I linked to previously about sentence spacing is a Quality article, imho worth exploring. I am encouraging you to edit any part of it with any of your own data and/or any third-party references and/or even with your very own original research work on the subject matter of typographical conventions, in Egypt for example, be them past or present ones for any medium you see fit.
