So, is Praexus fooled by the undead somehow (doubtful) or do the angelics actually have some power to meddle with affairs like the undead do? Or they just think they do?
O...K... but how would a demon know where the artifact would be unless the demons knew where it was taken to somehow? Judging by how fast the demoness knew, I guess they took it? Because if the undead or other factions did, then the demon could not have known so quickly where the artifact would be unless the knight was fooled and that was not the intention of the demon. Or, the demon just gave the knight false hope to get out of the scene for a while.
The Angelic
The Angelics are demi-human beings who used to be ordinary priestesses of the Golden Guard. They were picked by van Durce
himself to be his chosen. Only the most skilled and most loyal are judged worthy of this gift.
In a sacred ceremony, the grail that van Durce carries with him, would be filled with blessed water and a few drops of the High Lords' blood.
The chosen would then drink from the grail, her already existing holy power would be doubled and she would obtain her wings.
The Angelics, while not very numerous, would be even more loyal towards the High Lord, than any of his other servants.
The Demons do not know about it, but this particular demoness did see the grail disappear and found the map lying where the grail had been, it had somehow remained unnoticed by the mortal forces as if it had been "guarded" from them. Some of what she said was made up, some was what she had heard during her time watching the Golden Guard and some information she was able to gather from the map itself.
Btw, just letting you know, van Durce had drunk the blood of the Arkainians which empowered him and it has merged with his own blood, therefore it gained the power to turn priestesses of the Golden Guard into their new, more powerful form.
Oh, they're basically mutants. I thought they were a faction of their own.
What do you mean there was a map there? You mean, that the fools left a map to where they would take the grail to (or assuming not just anyone would know what the map would be for)? Who took it anyways?
And, now, does the grail contain anymore blood? It would not suffice to make Praexus strong like van Durce though.
