Problem with modding nowadays is, games are so high poly... Art modding is dying. It's sad. Like, we're not gonna see any Witcher 3 model mods anytime soon cuz modding actually requires a ton of skill now. You can't just make more armors for Witcher 3 :D

O yea, Bethesda games are still going strong (probably cuz they look a bit like shit xD.... But JK, its still tough work Id imagine. Still quite high poly n stuff).
Only cuz of their heavy mod support.. most games dont have that nowadays :/ its not like in the olden days of WARCRAFT 3 MAP EDITOR. Goddamit, we'll never get to see that again right >...

Yea I guess. Since Warcraft 3 is still popular and I don't think we'll be seeing any good blizzard games any time soon, I think we could start high resing the game you know. Like increasing polygons for the models, bettering textures.. But I dunno. That was tried with the SC2 Warcraft 3 mod and I didn't like the new models at all. They felt fat, the animations were lame, it was all too.. World of Warcraft-y. I guess when I up my 3d skills I might work on this as a side project someday...

i guess it would be interesting to see high-res war3 models, but the main thing they need to do is stick to the wrapping, so that any high-res texture looks as good on default war3 models as well as on our custom models that use the textures. also, i have no clue if someone would do a custom MPQ for it

A custom MPQ for? You can just replace files in the current MPQs :p And have it like a mod, like a regular mod. Like an unofficial expansion. But anyway, there's also the problem with the age of the engine so I dunno...

Dunno, are they? Will it be able to support higher poly models :? have better lighting, texture maps? I doubt it :D
