There are three choices when I write a review: replace my existing, do not replace and replace all. It's grayed out to replace my existing unless you write something in the review box. I wanted to edit my post and somehow I accidentally got another post with the edit I wanted to write.
So, I either have to delete the new post or mark it as a review.
I might be doing something wrong but it doesn't or didn't happen too often.
The moderate panel always makes new posts. It just replaces the marking to point to the new review. It's designed to expect that if you have an update to the review, it would replace existing reviews by you or by all or you just edit your post if the state did not change. Keep in mind it never replaces the post, it just takes its place as a review in the box below the resource.
Yeah, that. I want to leave all phases of a review either from reviewers or users in order for people to see the progress. It's a good thing for other mappers, else a lot of reviews might look like: some few words and Approved.
But if the former review is not representative of the current state of the map, you have to replace. The post will still exist in the thread, but only reviews that represent the current state should be marked as reviews.
That's how it's meant to be. Because you can mark multiple posts as reviews if you feel that they are also good reviews. They should all be about the current state. Also, there is a reviewer rating which is basically the rating average of all posts marked as reviews. Not used much, but it exists.
