O:

Good I never got to see an advertisement that said it had realistic AI, else I would be as disappointed as you hahaha

Other good thing was that I played it for the first time in 2003, and my voodoo3 hardware could handle it. Just like today, I hardly play recently released games with my dated hardware =P

During the mid-late 1990s, so-called 'realistic' AIs were considered a strong selling point for video games (remember how Half-Life or Quake 2 were hyped back then?). Needless to say, all these AIs were not that great.

The latest version of the Voodoo 2 drivers had buggy Direct3D (some games might freeze). OpenGL and Glide were great, however. It was because of them two that I was reluctant to go back to a previous, version of the Voodoo 2 drivers. Because with the pre-3.xx drivers, full OpenGL support was quite poor.

Heey, this TheDarkMod suggestion is actually a cool idea. I tried it back in 2013 but my PC simply couldn't handle it. I think it's worth giving it another shot today. Thanks for reminding me of it!

"During the mid-late 1990s, so-called 'realistic' AIs were considered a strong selling point for video games" -> good thing games nowadays don't even bother trying to sell themselves as "realistic AI" hahaha.
