You installed the drivers, right? Just choose the Focusrite scarlett 2i2 as input driver. Then the mic should work as it has to.
Did you buy the original headphones? If yes, you'll have to connect it to one of the stereos coming out from the back of the 2i2 device. There are 2 (left and right) so youll hear only one side, unless you buy a splitter/connector cable
Hmm, but on the net I see people using the slots in the back for the monitors and the one in the front on the left (just left) of the big monitor knob/volume button. There's even a drawing/sign of headphones there and I hear nothing when I plug them there. They work on my PC though.
How do I record stereo, I mean without just having the sound only on the left or right depending where I plug the mic?
If youRe using the quality mic, just keeping it in some place quiet should be enough. If your PC is making noise, don't let it stay on the same table/desk, avoid vibration.
My PC is down and I keep the mic on the table as I have yet to get a support for it. It's somewhat close to the PC but higher than it and a bit to the left.
If it is feedback get out of the speakers direction, if the background noise is just plain air and stuff, close the windows, keep the room excluded from the outside, you want it to hear only your voice or guitar in this case
I got that 2i2 with the Scarlett mic.
Well, I shut the window and door but sounds can still be heard mostly from the PC. The noise I'm referring to is, yeah, some sort of wind. Well, it's my room, not a studio .
