I actually liked your serious statement on the matter. It is a good thing to be serious to get more constructive conversation going on.

Remember that seriousness is not an uniform binary value, it is an individually perceived multi-factorial property. And more importantly, being serious has nothing to do with arguing for your genuine values and norms. I still vividly remember being only one along with some possibly genuine materialist girl in elementary school class to argue for money in money vs happiness debate. I've never understood the human urge to belong to majority with one's values. This I would post on the thread but the joke aspect of the thread has already been disclosed as it is the tradition to reveal april fools jokes later on. Usually it goes like this: internet savy people play along, geniuses state that they've miraculously deduced topic being an april fools joke and internet insavy people who haven't checked the date get fooled.

Next year, I suggest posting the joke sooner so discussion can get longer (it was already very late when it got posted and I'm like GMT+2 or something), and more strictly deleting Sherlock deductions.

You might argue "but it's just a joke, there's nothing to be serious about". No. You're responsible for the consequences of your actions regardless of your motives. Example being writing hate speech as a joke. Let A be a topic. Until stated by an authority that A is a joke, the narrative should be kept on A, after that it can be B = "A is a joke".

No, I don't even want to come out as an expert. On the contrary, I'd like if you correct any of my possibly incorrect statements so I don't further spread false facts around.
