6 playable classes
Dungeons
There are currently two fully terrained dungeons on the map. A dungeons will basically be an extra zone for better drops, aka elite mobs and bosses. There is also quite a few chests in there. I am not sure about how much effort I want to put on those bosses though.
Bank system
You'll be able to turn in any item to a bank. The bank then gives you gold when they returns the item to you based on how long they've had it.
Rare Spawn System
Upon respawning, a mob has a chance to get increased stats and therefore be classified a as a rare spawn. The rare spawns got a better drop chance than normal once. This will be displayed by increase of size and maybe re-coloring the mob as well.
Class Upgrade
Each class will be able to expand itself. Basically, a hunter could turn into a marksman. Or a swordsman into a knight.
Glyph System
Buying or finding a glyph will improve your abilities or base stats in one way or another.
Story Pages [kinda-done]
All foes in Archeron got a chance to drop an Ancient Piece of Paper. If you bring this item to a Librarian he'll translate it for you, rewarding you with the ability to read the content of one of the presented story lines. This is not set in stone but there'll be 3-5 stories at release with at least 5 pages to complete each one of them.
Chest System [done]
Finding a chest will reward the player with a random amount of gold and souls. The chests almost always drop at least one item. However, you might need a certain key to unlock some of them.
Disenchant Items
Found an item that's bad for your class? Fear not, you can disenchant the item and then trade in the disenchant material in order to create a random item that suits your class.
Arena/Minigames
In the main city within the map there'll be an arena for the player to compete in. However, this is not your standard gladiator arena where you fight for gold. In fact, you will fight to gain experience and gather some easy paper. (see above features for specific info on those) The arena will contain a mix of bosses and minigames. I got some ideas in mind but I will share those at a later date once I've thought it though.
Flexible Camera [done]
The camera system used in Archeron is very flexible. There are three camera modes. The default top-view free cam. The locked-on hero cam, however if you use this mode you'll be able to fully control the camera angle/height with the arrow keys. Lastly the third person camera system used in most RPG games, like WoW among others.
'Custom' fog of war [done]
This isn't your average RPG in the sense of atmosphere, most RPGs got a green kingdom with bright looking forests. However, in Archeron there'll be a permanent night (lore reasons) and therefore your vision will be reduced to a minimum. I am not talking about simple sight reduction though, if you have played survival maps I am sure you know what kind of vision minipulation I am talking about. You'll see it in the screenshots if you don't know what I am talking about.
