Remove pathing of all doodads you use, so you can place them anywhere. Set the scale from 0.3 to 3.0 and manually adjust each doodad. Use Shift + Pg Up/Pg Down to move doodads up and down. (Useful for placing above other doodads).
Use imports. There are a LOAD of cool models here or in wc3c.net / xgm.ru
Use some terrain variation. But by that I mean, not only different terrain tiles but mixed terrain tyles. The real terrain is never only ice or only rock, it's always a mix. Looks muuch better that way.
Adjust the angle of the camera, when u take a picture in such a way that no "unfinished" or "empty" parts of the map show up.
Try these techniques for your new picture. It will look even better.
That ice at the bottom is meant to be all ice, and since it's a caste/fortress, there isn't much mix/matching with the terrain.
Anyways, thanks for the advice Windu, I'll do that next time.
I don't need UTM. Because i rarely make stuff. And UTM has been known for crashing.... Alot. ITs not because my computer is crap. IT is just that my computer is highly awesome.
