Yup, but Ragnaros is dead and forgotten making these fire creatures independent, rogue, and deadlier. So they are legion.

Drakonid is derived from world "drakon" or dragon, and -id that resembled silith-id, illith-id, something that has tails, squirms, and wiggly. More of a crawling and creeping kind.
